The Members of the Newport City Fire Department take the responsibility to safeguard our community very seriously. Our guarantee to the citizens and visitors of the City of Newport is to provide dependable services while showing care and compassion for those in need.

As public servants, our first priority is to serve the community. We promise to treat those we serve, and those within the department, with  professionalism and respect. The Newport City Fire Department exists to provide services that enhance our community, always putting Newport citizens’ quality of life at the center of everything we do. We value respect, kindness, and the importance of our work; and strive to foster a spirit of excellence throughout our organization so that we may better serve our community.

 

The Newport City Fire Department serves the community with the following essential services:

• Fire Suppression
• Vehicle and industrial extrication
• Fire Prevention Services: public fire safety education
